Ty

Ty is a Columbus-based tattoo artist and, most importantly to him, a proud dad to an amazing son. Family is a big part of who he is, and that same sense of care and connection carries over into the way he approaches his work and the people who sit in his chair.

Known as Marked by Ty, Ty has a particular love for black and gray tattoos and script work, but he doesn't limit himself to just one style. He enjoys taking on different ideas, pushing himself creatively, and continuing to grow with every piece he does.

One of Ty's strengths is taking what someone has in their head — even when they aren't quite sure how to explain it — and helping turn it into something that feels like theirs. Sometimes that means creating a tattoo with a lot of personal meaning behind it, and sometimes it just means making something really cool that someone is excited to wear. Both matter.

Ty also understands that who you choose to tattoo you matters. He wants his clients to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, changing their minds, or speaking up about what they want. There's no expectation that you need to walk through the door knowing exactly what to say or having every detail figured out.

At the end of the day, Ty wants people to leave his chair with a tattoo they're proud of and an experience they actually enjoyed. He's serious about his work, always looking for ways to get better, and genuinely enjoys getting to create something different for every person he tattoos. That's what it means to be Marked by Ty.
